It was 11:32 PM when Lour stepped through the school gates.
The campus looked completely different at night.
During the day, the hallways were filled with students, voices, and footsteps.
Now, there was nothing.
No teachers.
No students.
Not even the usual hum of the electric fans.
Lour tightened her grip around her phone.
She had forgotten her notebook in her classroom.
Normally, she would have waited until morning.
But that notebook contained several personal entries she didn't want anyone finding.
She pushed open the main door.

Creeeeak.

The sound echoed through the empty building.
Lour stepped inside.
The door slowly swung shut behind her.
Click.

She looked back.
"It's just a door," she whispered.
She turned toward the hallway.
Her classroom was on the second floor.
Lour took a step forward.
Tap.
She stopped.
Another sound came from somewhere upstairs.

Tap.
Tap.
